Jennie Andrews was born in Knoxville, TN in 1980. “Borrowing” her father’s Minolta x700 on family trips was the start of Jennie’s love affair with photography. Taking great pictures has been Jennie’s passion since the only digital equipment any photographer owned was an Ironman wristwatch. Because the root of this passion started with her family, she has developed a great eye for getting those shots that illustrate your true spirit.

Her photographic style has been seasoned by summer-long trips throughout the United States and the world and shooting pictures commercially for a river rafting company in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Jennie’s style is characterized by a refined rustic touch. She catches moments as they happen, shooting in primarily natural light and natural settings.

Jennie is a life-long learner. She is constantly studying new techniques and refining the ones she already possesses. A long time has passed since those first family trips and while much has stayed the same, the photographic world is changing rapidly. Because Jennie now captures all images digitally, she is able to fully utilize her creativity from the first click of the shutter to the final stages of printing.

I love what I do and I feel fortunate that I get to not only know the spirit of each person I photograph, but I also get to help tell the stories of their life’s greatest moments.
